An optional stainless speed bar panel is available for higher-security or outdoor sheltered installations.

When to Use a Swing Barrier

Glass swing barriers are the right choice when a standard 600 mm flap barrier lane is too narrow — for wheelchair users, medical equipment, luggage trolleys, pushchairs, or delivery personnel. In Dubai and UAE buildings, building regulations typically require at least one ADA-accessible wide lane per entrance, making a swing barrier a standard companion alongside flap barrier rows.

A flap barrier turnstile provides narrow-lane (600 mm) high-throughput pedestrian control (up to 30 persons/minute RFID). A glass swing barrier provides wide-lane (800 mm) access at moderate throughput (10 persons/minute) — ideal for accessibility lanes, VIP entrances, and locations where appearance is a priority. Emergency Mode & Safety
