A magnetic lock is the quickest way to put a glass shopfront, office door or apartment entrance in Dar es Salaam under access control. LOKIZ exports the standard LK-M280 (280 kg / 600 lbs, DC12V with a DC24V option), the fail-safe LK-M280-7T with a red/green LED status indicator, and the LK-M280D-5T, which holds 280 kg on each leaf of a double door.

Biometric Access Control in Tanzania
Fingerprint access control suits Tanzanian offices, clinics, schools and apartment blocks where keys are copied or passed around. The LK-T02-WiFi uses a semiconductor fingerprint sensor and the LK-T01-WiFi a slim touch keypad; both store 300 fingerprints and 10,000 card/code users. The LK-T03-WiFi is a card-and-code keypad for 2,000 users with data backup.
Each can run as a standalone controller, so a door keeps working without a PC or server, and the Tuya app adds remote unlocking, temporary codes and visitor records over WiFi. IP68 metal cases make them suitable for exposed gates on the coast and through the rainy seasons.

Timber and metal doors with an existing lockset are often better served by an electric strike than a magnetic lock. The LK-SL02C-NO is a stainless steel long-type strike with 500 kg holding strength, DC12V input and door-signal support.

Will the products work with Tanzania’s 230 V supply?

What do you recommend for a hotel or holiday villa in Zanzibar or Arusha?
Smart locks such as the LK-A2Pro or LK-K7 on guest units and villa doors, so codes and app access can be changed between guests; the IP65 LK-DF5 for entrances exposed to the weather; and an IP68 keypad with an EM lock on staff and service doors.
