Magnetic Lock Exit Buttons: Why Every Controlled Door Needs One
A magnetic lock holds the door shut while it has power. The exit button on the inside cuts the power to the lock, or signals the controller to do so, so anyone inside can open the door without a card or fingerprint.
On escape routes, a break glass emergency release is fitted next to the exit button and wired to release the lock in an emergency. The LK-BG03-GR does the same job but resets with a key, so it can be used again.
Touchless exit buttons are popular in clinics, kitchens and offices because nobody has to touch the button, and the LED ring shows its status at a glance.

An exit button, also called a door release button or push-to-exit button, is fitted on the inside of an access-controlled door. Pressing it (or waving at a touchless one) releases the magnetic lock or electric strike so people can leave.
What do NO, NC and COM mean on an exit button?
They describe how the button switches the circuit: normally open, normally closed and common. Choose a button with the contact your lock wiring or controller needs. The touchless LK-NT03S and the break glass LK-BG03-G offer NO/NC/COM, which suits most systems.
Which exit button is best for a glass door?
Glass and aluminium doors often have narrow frames, so the ultra-narrow LK-PB03A aluminium button or a touchless LK-NT03S mounted on the wall beside the door are common choices.
Do I need a break glass unit as well as an exit button?
